My last Saturday Farmer's Market in my old town.  I'm really going to miss this place.

hairdryer

And now for a post appreciating the little things: a new hairdryer.  And with how blasted thick my hair is, this is a real lifesaver.

I was in Kentucky yesterday for an audition - it went well, I thought!  Beforehand, I was wandering around the streets.  And there, I discovered something.

You know what Kentucky has a lot of?  Whiskey.

Street vendors on the downtown mall where I live.  In the summer, I bought a few hippie skirts from them.  In winter, they're specializing in shawls and scarves.  If only I had money.

christmasshop

Lovely little Christmas shop in town.  You may notice a theme in entries for the next few weeks.  I love Christmas, what can I say?

candy

Beautiful candy display at the mall, with all sorts of proper sweets laid out.  I like old fashioned candy stores; this is sort of a kiosk equivalent.

halloshop

Halloween specialty store in the local mall.  Have I mentioned I love Halloween?  Because I love Halloween.  I have two costumes this year: a sleek and sexy one for the party happening on the night before, and a nerdy and fun one for the day proper.

Oh Cosmo, I have to thank you.  Were it not for this helpful little instruction, I might have gone about my weekend home completely wrong.

candy shop

Beautiful little candy shop that had a vast array of truffles, imported candy, bins of jawbreakers and taffy, bacon-chocolate bars, and giant gummi bears.  I have an enormous sweet tooth, and just being in a place like this will blow my mind.  I often times leave candy shops without buying anything because I can't choose what I want!

ugly tomatoes

Sign in the produce section that made me giggle.  Poor abused tomatoes.

coffee

Local independent coffee shop.  Great coffee, charming atmosphere, and close enough that I can wander there in the mornings before class to get my caffeine thrill of the day.

supermarket

Supermarkets!  There is something bizarrely and wonderfully comforting about a supermarket.  I love just browsing the shelves and feeling secure in the amount of food that's just *there*.  24-Hour ones are the best - grocery shopping at two in the morning is one of the great pleasures of life.
