bokays

This sign makes me both want to smack my head and laugh.  I'll go with the latter for the cases of this blog.

dogfoodfail

Can we just talk for a moment about how much FAIL this dog food brand is?  Yes, people.  Your dog deserves being rabid and getting SHOT.  TRAGICALLY.

mushroomlasagna

This picture is driving home the fact that I need a new computer so I can use my proper camera again, because this phone-picture in no way does my mushroom lasagna justice.

Bad: getting locked out of my car, and in a truly imbecilic fashion too.  Good: having someone come pronto to break in for me so I didn't have to take to the driver's side window with a hatchet.  I give you Nathan, my automotive hero.

Now it's time to play the game, "Spot the Fading Rainbow"!  Swear it was there when I took the picture...

I wanted to take a picture of my favorite meal in the world last night - coffee and a belgian waffle at my favorite little greasy spoon.  But by the time I remembered my picture...this had happened.  Really not my fault.  That waffle is just that good.

bandaid

Hello Kitty bandaid!  I was at a set build lat night and had an unfortunate run-in with a screw gun - ouch.  Fortunately a coworker came prepared.  (She had Power Ranger ones too, but this one was cuter.)

ginger honey puffs

I know a lot of my cookies look similar sometimes, but these little babies are so good - I'm calling them spiced honey puffs.  They're crispy on the outside but soft and fluffy in the middle and they're faintly sweet and full of ginger and cinnamon.

Not pictured: how I tried to soften the butter in the oven beforehand and forgot about it.  My entire apartment filled up with smoke - I thought the fire alarm was going to go off.  There was a lot of fretful dancing up and down and attacking of the oven with a wet scrubber to get the butter off (and half melting the sponge in the process.)

The cookies were still worth it.

Photobucketfailcookies

Today's happiness is sort of more ironic amusement.  You see, the cookies on the left are what I THOUGHT I was baking - they're called sugar shuttles, and in the cookbook they looked amazing.  The cookies below are what I actually ended up with.  Somewhat less shuttle-y than expected.

Least they still tasted good though.  And the boys from the last entry?  Didn't give a damn what they looked like.
